Raymond A. Jones

Raymond A. Jones, 81, of Hillsboro, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023 at Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.

He was born April 28, 1942 in Springfield, the son of the late Richard M. And Edna E. (Swaney) Jones.

In October 1987 in Cedarville, he married Susan Helen (Whitla) Jones, who passed Nov. 17, 2021.
 
Raymond had run the races at Rocky Fork Lake and was a hydroplane racing enthusiast. He was a member of the American Power Boat Association and the Diving Association.
 
Surviving are his daughter, Margaret (Robert) Henderson of Peebles; daughter, Cameo Farr of Springfield; son, Mark Gragg of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Jacob Henderson, Jessica Henderson, Elliott Farr and Anndreya Farr; and three great-grandchildren, Zander Henderson, Aryanna Henderson and Emmett Gragg.

Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Resthaven Memory Gardens, US Route 62 North, Hillsboro. The Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro, Ohio has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Contributions in Raymond's memory may be made to The Laurels of Hillsboro Activity Fund, 175 Chillicothe Avenue, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
