Ralph Theodore "Ted" Bell, 55, of Hillsboro, died Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the Batavia Nursing Care Center. He was born in Chillicothe, on Nov. 23, 1953 the son of the late Homer King and Naomi Ruth (Roberts) Bell. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Joseph N. Bell and one niece Rhonda Bell. He was a member of the Marshall Church of Christ and served as deacon of the church. He worked at Piper Aircraft as a tool-and-die machinist. He is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Homer Kenneth and Sharon Bell of Hillsboro; one sister-in-law, Rhea (Rhoads) Bell of Sinking Spring; three nieces, Rebecca Bell, Rachel (Jeff) Unger, and Stephanie Bell; and one nephew, Rodney (Robin) Bell. Services will be held Friday, Sept. 4, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home, with Tom Stoops officiating. Burial will follow in the Marshall Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 1080 Nimitzview Dr., No. 208, Cincinnati, Ohio 45230.
