Paul Eugene Coon

Paul Eugene Coon, 93, of Lynchburg, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.
  
He was born July 3, 1930 in New Burlington, the son of the late Bert and Nina Coon.

Paul had worked as a body shop man in the automotive industry and was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.
 
Surviving are his sons, Michael Eugene (Kimberly) Coon of Reva, Va. and Mark Coon of Xenia; great-granddaughter, Nicole Eustice; and great-great-granddaughter, Lilyanna Coon.
 
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kimberly Coon; and several sisters.
 
Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Woodland Cemetery, 281 Dayton Avenue, Xenia. The active-duty U.S. Army soldiers will accord military honors. The Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
