Pattie June Wilkin

Pattie June Wilkin, 80, of Lynchburg, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024 at The Laurels of Blanchester.

She was born Nov. 6, 1943 in Somerset, Ky., the daughter of the late Paul Roy and Icelene June Merrick.

Pattie was a beautician, having owned and operated her shop in Lynchburg, and later worked at a shop in Wilmington. She had attended the Pleasant Grove Community Church near Blanchester.

She is survived by her husband, John E. Wilkin, whom she had married April 22, 2001; four children, Kim (Dave) Albers of Wilmington, Carol (John) Kester of Milford, Jane (Chip) Cooper of Saline, Mich. and Ashley Prickett of Connersville, Ind.; four stepchildren, Brian (Rhonda) Wilkin of Liberty, Ind., Kevin (Cassie) Wilkin of Lynchburg, Becky (Chuck) Williams of New Vienna and Jodi Wilkin of Milford; four grandchildren, Clarissa and Sophia Kester of Milford, Payton (Nolan) Hitt of Grand Rapids, Mich. and Paige (Matt) Laub of Marysville; two great-grandchildren, Amantha and Flynn Laub; 12 step-grandchildren; and four step-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 18 at 1 p.m. at the New Market Baptist Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The Davis-Turner Funeral Home is serving the family.
