Patricia 'Pat' Kelch

Patricia “Pat” Kelch, 97, of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024 at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton. 

She was born Dec. 24, 1926, in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late J. Fred and Frances (Snider) Bennett. 

Pat was a Hillsboro High School graduate, and she went on to earn her RN degree from the Case Western Reserve University. She was a faithful member of the Global Methodist Church, and a volunteer coordinator at Highland District Hospital for many years. Throughout Pat’s life, she was a member of many organizations and clubs that helped serve the community. 
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Pat is survived by two sons, David Watts of Minneapolis and Thomas (Tara) Watts of Maryland; two grandchildren, Rebecca Watts and Brandon (Brittany) Watts; a great-grandson, Jude Watts; three nieces, Linda Shaffer Collins of Chillicothe, Cathy (Bob) Shaffer Jones of Hillsboro and Nancy Shaffer Compher of Vonore, Tenn.; and many friends. Pat is also survived by Karen (Dan) Reed, Steve Kelch, Rick (Elaine) Kelch and their families. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert “Bob” L. Watts; her second husband, Ralph L. Kelch; a sister, Mary Alice Shaffer; a grandson, Bradley Watts; and by Robert Kelch. 

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
