Pamela Ann Hastings

Pamela Ann Hastings, 86, passed away Dec. 8, 2023 in Sarasota, Fla.

She was born Jan. 1, 1937 to Herbert and Mona  Hewittson-Fisher in London, England, where she grew up.

Pamela started work as a fashion model in London. She married an American G.I. and moved to Casablanca in the early 1950s, then emigrated to America in 1955 and spent the first half of her adult life in Ohio, where she found early success in the corporate world, a rarity in the 1960s as a woman.

Pamela moved to Sarasota in the mid-1970s to work in real estate development and went on to find great success as one of Sarasota’s most accomplished interior designers. She was an avid skier and tennis player, but her passion was international travel, borne out by her many stamped passports.

An elegant woman with a personality to match, she enchanted everyone who had the chance to know her.

She was preceded in death by three husbands and is survived by three children, Drew Hastings (Taryn) of Hillsboro, Karen Kellerman of Cincinnati and Lori Mellman of Sarasota, Fla.; two sisters, Patricia Moore-Barnett (Joseph) of Sarasota and Diane Coker of Las Cruces, N.M.; a niece, Diana Haas (Eric), Robert H. Moore III (Lisa); her beloved nephew Turner Moore, of Sarasota, as well as nephews Colin Coker of Anchorage, Alaska and Travis Coker of Las Cruces, N.M.; two grandchildren, Rachel Temmesfeld (Stephen) and Vaughn Kellerman (Bethany); two great-grandchildren, Harrison Hastings of Hillsboro and Nora Kellerman of Cincinnati; extended family members in Yorkshire; and her many close friends, Pamela will be forever missed by all.

Cremation will be provided by Toale Brothers Funeral Services and her cremains to be placed with her father’s in Willesden Cemetery, London, UK.
