Olivia Rose Langston

Olivia Rose Langston, 81, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, Sept. 9, 2024 at The Laurels of Hillsboro, surrounded by her family.

She was born March 25, 1943 in Hunter, Ky., the daughter of the late Oliver and Audrey (Skeans) Williamson.

Olivia worked as an office manager for her husband, Dr. Letcher Langston Jr., at Langston Family Dental, and she was also the owner of Langston Apparel in uptown Hillsboro. She was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ and a former member of the Bainbridge Order of Eastern Star. Olivia was also a member of the Hillsboro Uptown Business Association and a regularly active member of the Hillsboro community. In her later years, she enjoyed collecting antiques and glassware, and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Olivia is survived by her children, Dr. Lesia (David) Langston McKenna of Hillsboro and Letcher (Jodi) Langston III of Hillsboro; five grandchildren, William (Sally) McKenna of Austin, Texas, Ali (Daniel) Lundberg of Indianapolis, Ind., Clayton R. Langston of Hillsboro, Spencer P. Langston of Lackland Air Force Base, Texas and Carys B. Langston of Hillsboro; two great-grandchildren, Hannah McKenna and Elizabeth Wren Lundberg; an aunt, Alice Skeans Osborne of Hunter, Ky.; a sister-in-law, Louise Salsbury of Paintsville, Ky.; her nephews; and several friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Letcher Langston Jr., in November of 1983; a son, Nick S. Langston, in September of 1984; a brother, Colin Salsbury; and many aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024 from 11 a.m. until noon at the Turner & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow visitation Wednesday, Sept. 18 at noon at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Hillsboro Cemetery following funeral services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Olivia’s name to the Hillsboro Church of Christ, 155 W Walnut Street, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133 or to the Highland County Society for Children and Adults, PO Box 258, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
