Norma Jean Johnson
Norma Jean Johnson, 88, of Hillsboro, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Hospice of Hamilton.
She was born Feb. 20, 1937 in Bonny Blue, Va., the daughter of the late Earl and Nora Sexton Woodyard.
Her nurturing spirit and loving heart made a remarkable impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Norma was renowned for her caring personality; she dedicated much of her life to taking care of many children in the neighborhood. Her skill at looking after the younger ones was not only a job for Norma, but something she earnestly loved and found solace in. The children loved her, and parents appreciated her for her reliability and trustworthiness.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Joan) Nagle of Liberty Township and David Nagle of Hillsboro; stepchildren, Clifford Johnson, Jr., Lorraine (Dean) Lance of Alabama, and Michael Johnson of Alabama; nine grandchildren; 11 great -grandchildren; and son-in-law, Farron Manley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Johnson in 1993; and her children, Edith Nagle, Jane Nagle and Bill Nagle.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 22 from 11 a.m .until time of service at 1 p.m. at Turner & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
