Norma Jean “Jeanne” Anderson

Norma Jean “Jeanne” Anderson, 84, of Greenfield, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. 

She was born July 21, 1938 in Middletown, a daughter of the late Russell B. Sr. and Alice I. Perry Dill. 

On July 28, 1956, she married Donald K. Anderson, who preceded her in death on April 30, 2013. 

Jeanne was a graduate of Kings Mills High School with the class of 1956. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband, Don, in the operation of the funeral home. Jeanne’s life is best summed up as being "a force of nature who never met a stranger." 

She is survived by one son, Norman D. Anderson of Eugene, Ore.; and one daughter, Valerie McCune of Greenfield. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Aharon McCune, Alyssa Lane, Adam Reser, Amanda McCune and Lyndsey Campbell; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard Dill of Lake George, N.Y.; and one son-in-law, Steve Campbell of Greenfield. 

Jeanne was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna K. Campbell; and one brother, Russell Dill Jr. 

Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 2 from 5-8 p.m. at the Anderson-Ebright Funeral Home in Greenfield. In accordance with her wishes, a private graveside service will be held at the convenience of her family. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Greenfield Cemetery beside her husband, Don, and her daughter, Donna. Jeanne’s family kindly asks that no flowers be sent.
