Nancy Haines Conner

Nancy Haines Conner, 79, of Wilmington, passed away Monday, Feb. 12, 2024 at her home in Wilmington with her family by her side.  
 
She was born July 7, 1944 in Wilmington, the daughter of  the late Jordan Wood Haines and Helen Margaret Dehan Haines.
 
Nancy was a graduate of Wilmington High School class of 1962. She enjoyed spending winters down south with her husband in their motorhome and was an avid golfer for many years.
 
On Feb. 8, 1964, she married Dennis Conner, who survives. Also surviving are three children: son, Todd (Suzanne) Conner, daughter, Jodi (Mike) Fahrubel and son, John Conner; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Ann Foland.
 
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a brother, William Dehan Haines.

According to Nancy's wishes, she was cremated, and her family is planning a celebration of her life at a later date.

The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington is serving the family.
