Mona M. Curtis, 75, of Hillsboro, died Friday afternoon, October 9, 2009 at the Highland District Hospital. 
She was born September 16, 1934 in Flemingsburg, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Lee and Grace White Story. 
Mrs. Curtis had retired from the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital with thirty years of service. She had also been a greeter for the Hillsboro Wal-Mart and had served Highland County as a foster parent for many children. She was a devoted member of the New Hope Baptist Church and had been a member of the Ruth Lodge #1 Order of Eastern Star. 
She is survived by two daughters, Grace Stone of Richmond, Kentucky and Wanda Curtis of Hillsboro; and two grandchildren, Monique Stone and Miracle Marie Curtis. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Curtis on February 2, 1984; one daughter, Wilma Marie Curtis; two brothers; and one sister. 
Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 13th at the New Hope Baptist Church. Michael Hudson, pastor of the New Hope Baptist Church will officiate. Friends may call on Tuesday, October 13th from noon until 2:00 p.m. at the New Hope Baptist Church, 128 East Beech Street, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133. The Turner & Son Funeral Home is serving the family.
