Molly Marie Hamilton

Molly Marie Hamilton, 91, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024.

She was born Dec. 30, 1932 to James Ira and Lucille (Thomas) Pendleton.

Molly loved farming from the time she was a child, helping her dad with farming and milking cows with her husband. She loved her garden and always had an abundance of canned goods that she had grown.

Molly and Nelson were members of the Marshall Church of Christ, and after Nelson’s death, Molly enjoyed going to Mt. Olive Church of Christ. She spent the last three and a half years at Bell Gardens Assisted Living Facility, where she enjoyed her new friends and social life.

Molly's unwavering faith, compassionate spirit and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Remember her with joy and gratitude for the time her loved ones were blessed to have her in their lives. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so freely gave.

Molly married Nelson Hamilton on July 21, 1950, and they had four children: Connie Burden, Dave (Judy) Hamilton, Jim (Jackie) Hamilton and Diana Kelch. Molly has 12 grandchildren: Shawn Burden, Tonia Ellen, Karie Emery, J.D. Hamilton, Joni Layne, Jaime Rand, Krista Bennington, Jimmy Hamilton, Michael Hamilton, Sarah Wohlfrom, Brad Kelch and Tyler Kelch. She also has 29 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, Oct. 21, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Olive Church of Christ in Hillsboro, where she found solace and community. The funeral service will be a testament to the love and kindness she shared with everyone she met. Burial will follow at the Mt. Olive Cemetery.

Friends may call Monday from 1 p.m. until time of services at the church.
