Mildred “Millie” Jean Anderson

Mildred “Millie” Jean Anderson, 79, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born June 21, 1947 in Adams County, the daughter of the late Joseph Raleigh Hazlett and Mary Ann (Crank) Hazlett.

Millie was a 1965 graduate of Winchester High School. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister who found her greatest happiness in spending time with her family and making wonderful memories with those she loved. Millie enjoyed antiquing, tending to her beautiful flowers, and baking special treats for her family. She especially cherished shopping trips with her family and friends, always enjoying the time they spent together.

Millie was also known for keeping a close eye on the Weather Channel, always wanting to know what the weather was going to bring and making sure her family and loved ones were safe. She was an enthusiastic Cincinnati Bengals fan and loved cheering on her favorite football team.

Above all, Millie had a kind and caring heart, and her family meant everything to her. She treasured the simple pleasures in life, the laughter shared with loved ones, and the special moments spent together. Millie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Millie is survived by her three children, Jennifer (Mike) Taylor of France, David (Sherry Reich) Wright of New Vienna and Lori (Brent) Probasco of Wilmington; two granddaughters, Addy Probasco and Gwenna Probasco, both of Wilmington; four siblings, Barb (Terry) Ruble, JoAnn (Terry) Gotherman, Donnie (Rita) Hazlett and Jerry (Joyce) Hazlett; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Anderson; and a grandson, Wesley Wright.

Graveside services will be held privately at the convenience of the family in the Prospect Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, Md. 21741 or to the Lewy Body Dementia Association 912 Killian Hill Road, S.W., Lilburn, Ga. 30047.
