Michael Dean "China" Roads, 45, of Greenfield, died Monday, September 21, 2009 at the Greenfield Area Medical Center.
He was born May 24, 1964 in Greenfield, the son of Carl and Dorothy (Eubanks) Roads.
He was employed by Sealtite of Hillsboro, where he had served for the last 25 years. He was a 1982 graduate of the Edward Lee McClain High School. He was a member of F.O.E. #1161 and the Highland County Coonhunters Lodge and attended the Greenfield Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda (Pummell) Roads, whom he married April 21, 2007; two daughters, Julie (Matthew) Massie of Greenfield and Samantha Roads of Greenfield; one grandson, Hunter Matthew Massie; two stepsons, Terry McWhorter and Brian (Stephanie) McWhorter, both of Sabina; two step-grandsons, Isaac McWhorter and Dylan McWhorter; two step-granddaughters, Bailey McWhorter and Mariah McWhorter; one brother, Phillip (Janet) Roads of Westerville; one sister, Pam Montgomery, of Greenfield; nieces and nephews, Dan (Jessica) Roads of Westerville, Kevin Roads of Westerville, Kathleen Roads of Westerville, Laura Roads of Westerville, Heather (Chase) Marple of Greenfield, Adam Montgomery of Columbus, and Gretchen Montgomery of Greenfield; stepmother Nancy Bash of Westerville; and two special friends, Richard Larkins of Greenfield and Harry Eidenier of Leesburg.
He was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Jae Montgomery, and both parents.
Services were held 11 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the Greenfield Church of Christ, with Pastor Bill Requardt and Pastor Danny Dodds officiating. Burial was held at Greenfield Cemetery. Visitation took place 4–8 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at the Greenfield Church of Christ.

The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home of Greenfield is serving the family.
