Maurice Taylor, 92, of Winchester, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009 at Highland House.

He was born in Brown County, Ohio on September 21, 1917, the son of the late Samuel and Ella Mae (Brumley) Taylor.
Maurice was a longtime member of the Winchester Presbyterian Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Eva Louise Taylor, who passed away on February 23, 2005, one brother; Forrest T. Taylor, and two sisters; Ora Maude Taylor and Christine Gaskill. 
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Lois Taylor of Circleville, Ohio; two daughters and sons-in-law, Eva Norine and Charles Behm of Winchester and Alice and Ernie Soale of Lynchburg; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren. 
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 3 p.m. at the Winchester Presbyterian Church with Pastor Norine Behm officiating. Burial will follow in Decatur Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 1-3 p.m. at the Winchester Presbyterian Church; the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester is in charge of the arrangements.
