Mark Lucas
Mark Lucas, 62, of Hillsboro, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 3, 2025 at his home.
He was born Oct. 13, 1962 in Bridgeport, Conn., the son of Larry Anthony and Joyce Josephine (Tukis) Lucas.
Mark started his life as a cowboy, with big buckles and cowboy boots. He was a race car driver, Harley Davidson rider, police officer, S.W.A.T. commander, K-9 officer, pilot and a farmer. Mark was a thrill-seeker, who loved to go fast. He was a self-taught man, who fought as hard as he loved. He died with his boots on, which was important to him.
Surviving are his mother, Joyce Lucas of Mesa, Ariz.; daughter, Sara (Nick) Seiffert of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; son, Jacob Lucas of Dublin; two grandchildren, Aria Seiffert and Emery Seiffert; sister, Marcy Lucas of Queen Creek, Ariz.; longtime friend, Stacey Lucas of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and his two dogs, Bear and Mini Mi.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Larry Lucas.
Private memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.
