Marilyn L. Tissot

Marilyn L. Tissot, 88, of Cherry Valley, Ill., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023 at her home.

She was born June 28, 1935 near Sabina, the daughter of W. Everett and Norma (Pointer) Fender.

Marilyn was a member of Spring Creek United Church of Christ, Rockford, Ill.

Surviving is her loving husband, Robert G. Tissot; son, Kevin G. (Kathleen) Tissot of Brooklyn, Wis.; two daughters, Brenda (Russell) Zielezinski of Batavia, Ill. and Catherine Murray of Lodi, Wis.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 15, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Edgington Funeral Home, 17 E. Main St., Mowrystown with Rev. Mike Brazelle officiating. Interment will follow in the Mowrystown Cemetery, Mowrystown.

Friends will be received Friday, Dec. 15, 2023 from noon - 1 p.m. at Edgington Funeral Home, Mowrystown.

If desired, memorial contributions in Marilyn’s memory may be directed to Spring Creek United Church of Christ, Rockford, Ill. or First Presbyterian Church, Mowrystown.
