Marietta A. Dubois
Marietta A. Dubois, 77, of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully Monday, April 29, 2024 at her home.
She was born Jan. 4, 1947 in Manchester, Ky., the daughter of the late Archie and Mally Ree (Ruth) Allen.
Marietta loved sewing, gardening and caring for her chickens and peafowl, and she was always a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by seven children, Rosemary (Tim) Darling of Mt. Orab, Kevin (Melissa) King and Jamie King, both of Hillsboro, Brian King of Hamersville, Melody King of Clermont, Robin (Bobby) Souder of Hillsboro and Terry King; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Pauline Sizemore of Oneida; two brothers, Glenn (Mary) Allen of Manchester and Ricky (J.C.) Allen of Alabama; and several nieces and nephews, as well as her fur-baby, “Boomer.”
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Morton King; her second husband, Edward Dubois; and a sister, Judy Nickels.
A visitation for Marietta will be held Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 10 a.m. until noon, when a funeral service will begin, at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Her graveside committal service will follow Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Withamsville.
