Malita S. "DuDah" Tong

Malita S. "DuDah" Tong, 73, of Sinking Spring, passed away Friday, May 3, 2024.

Malita was born Feb. 8, 1951 in Chillicothe, the daughter of the late Ira Robert and Mary Ellen (Jordan) Tong. 

She attended Western Latham High School, where she was a cheerleader. She worked at Robertshaw Controls in Hillsboro and Airborne in Wilmington. Malita attended Moler Beauty Acamedy in Cincinnati and was a beautician for several years. She drove a school bus for Ohio Valley Schools for 17 years until she retired.

Malita was blessed with three loving and devoted children, Melody (George) Riley of Sinking Spring, Malissia (J.R. Snider) Burns of Sardinia and Donnie (Amie) Bentley of Sinking Spring; four grandchildren, Cody (Beth) Burns, Corey (Miranda Suggs) Bentley, Christian Bentley and Fayth Riley; three great-grandchildren, Case Burns, Ryder Bentley and Arabella Burns; a brother, Charles Robert "Bob" (Dianna) Tong of South Dakota; father of her children, Don Bentley of Sinking Spring; a niece, Lisa Howard; three nephews, Jeff Tong, Doug and Dwayne Hammonds; several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins; and a host of friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara F. "Susie" Hammond; a brother, Steve Tong; and two nephews, Rob Tong and Danny Hammond.

Visitations will be 11 a.m.-1 p,.m. Wednesday, May 5 at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pastor Casey McDaniels will officiate with burial following in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sinking Spring.
