Lytle Brown

Lytle Brown, 81, of Sardinia, passed away Monday, Nov. 20, 2023. 
 
He was born Jan. 19, 1942 in Goshen, the son of Walter Armstrong and Clara (Wood) Brown.
 
Lytle graduated from Goshen High School class of 1960, where he met the love of his life, Dottie Carpenter. The high school sweethearts got married on May 4, 1963, and she passed away on April 29, 2022.

Lytle retired from the Ford Motor Company in Batavia after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Allensburg Church of Christ and the Goshen High School Hall of Fame for winning the State Baseball Championship in 1958.
 
Surviving are his two sons and daughters-in-law, Lytle Dale and Judi Brown Jr. of Delhi and Greg and Jennifer Brown Sr. of Lynchburg; three grandchildren; Greg (Lindsay) Brown Jr., Nathan Brown and Natalie Brown; three great-grandchildren, Harper, Hailey and Hattie; sister, Norma Cook; special friend, Sharon Schleyer; and several nieces and nephews.
 
In addition to his parents and wife, Lytle was preceded in death by five siblings, Walter Brown Jr., Betty Sylvester, Bob Brown, Ralph Brown and Marilyn Brewer.
 
Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 27, 2023 at noon at Allensburg Church of Christ, 7105 Abernathy Rd., Lynchburg, with Pastor Bob Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford.
 
Friends will be received Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services at the church.

Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro has been entrusted with the arrangements.
 
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lyle's memory may be made to the Hospice of Hope, 215 Hughes Blvd. Mt. Orab 45154.
