Lucille Mae Bullock

Lucille Mae Bullock, 96, of Hillsboro, passed away Jan. 8, 2024.  

She was born Dec. 28, 1927 in Dayton, the daughter of the late Ambert Rantha Hilleary and Mae Elizabeth Wilhelm Hilleary.

She led a long and amazing life and took many vacations with her husband, sisters and her family. She enjoyed golfing, bowling and camping. She retired from General Motors, Dayton in 1986 and was retired longer than she worked.    
Special thanks to the staff of Trustwell Living (Bell Gardens) of Hillsboro for being there for her during her last year and a half of her life. She truly loved her view from her room.   

She is survived by her daughters, Beverly (George) Walkup and Sherry (Jeff) Knowles, and her son, Martin (Cindy) Bullock; grandchildren, Hollie (James) Adkins, Donald Walkup, Jonathan (Stephanie) Walkup, Brian Knowles, Andrew (Jennifer) Knowles and Aaron Mitchell; 17 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Wilma Rau of Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Herman H. Bullock, in 2017. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was preceded in death by brothers, James, Robert and her twin Lloyd; and sisters, Dorothy King, Mary Ruth Mitchener and Maxine Giallombardo.

Visitation will be held Jan. 13 from noon-2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with services following at 2 p.m.

Burial will be held at Beavers Cemetery following services.
