Louise W. Pegan

Louise W. Pegan, 100 of Lake Mary, Fla., passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023.

She was born Sept. 23, 1922 in Greenup County, Ky., the daughter of William Warnock and Elizabeth Warnock.

Louise was one of seven children, Harry Warnock, Chlotine McCord, Lucy Jane Dillard, Benjamin Warnock, Anna Mae Greer and Mary McNary.

She was a member of the New Vienna United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker, married to Paul Stroup Pegan of New Vienna. They successfully farmed for many years until they retired to Zephyrhills, Fla., and at Paul’s death in 2007, she moved to Lake Mary, Fla.

Louise is survived by her sister, Mary McNary of London, Ohio; and two children, Robert (Diane) Pegan of Heathrow, Fla. and Meriem (John dec’d) Ridgeway of Sanford, Fla.; grandchildren, Diane (Tim) Ferguson of Pinellas Park, Fla., Christine Garcia of Pinellas Park, Fla., Jessica (Katherine) of Sarasota, Fla., Dr. Mark (Erin) Pegan of Heathrow, Fla., and Kristin Cooper of Oviedo, Fla.; and Brent Burton of Jacksonville (dec’d); 10 great- grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 29 at the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery. The Rev. Tom Zile will officiate.
