Lindy Sue (Minney) Lilley

Lindy Sue (Minney) Lilley, 69, of Chillicothe, passed away Friday, Aug. 2, 2024 at her home.

She was born March 17, 1955 at home in Bourneville, the daughter of the late John and Ruby (Pierce) Minney.

Lindy was a simple outgoing country girl who spoke her mind. She enjoyed cooking, caring for her dogs and being a volunteer for the Post 14 Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a collector of cow decor.

On March 4, 1978, she married her husband of 46 years, John M. Lilley, who survives.
 
Also surviving are her children, Chasity Burress and John W. Lilley; grandchildren, Edward, Mara Jade and Micheal Burress and Shanna Lilley; brothers Larry Minney (Rosemary), John “Bill” Minney (Terry) and Harvey “Hob” Minney; sisters, Edna Kinzer, Mary Jo McLain (Steve) and Talitha “Tice” Rumfield; several nieces, nephews and friends; and her dogs, Daisey Mae and Maxwell.
 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Harry Gray.
 
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home of Bainbridge with Rev. Sammie Cooper officiating, with cremation to follow. Friends may visit with Lindy’s family Saturday from noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
