Lige L. Tyler | The Highland County Press

Lige L. Tyler, 60, of Winchester, passed away peacefully at his home on Feb. 22, 2025.

He was born June 2, 1964 in Madison, Ind., the son of the late Robert and Violet Meyers Tyler.

Lige worked for many years at American Metal Cleaning. His favorite hobby was cars. Lige was truly gifted; he could work on and fix any car set before him.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Dunn Tyler, whom he married on Oct. 26, 1986; son, Lige “LT” (Rachel) Tyler Jr. of Belfast; grandchildren, Payten Tyler, Corben Tyler, Maddisen Tyler and Graclen Tyler; and siblings, Terry (Kelley) Hurst of Holton, Ind., Tina Waltermire of Columbus, Ind., Tangy Hutton of Peebles, Dan Lewis of New York and Ralph Lewis of Tennessee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Tyler; and siblings, Robert Tyler, Lisa Tyler and Debbie Arehart.

Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 27 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. In keeping with his wishes, Lige will be cremated following services.
