Lela Reeves
Lela Reeves, 93, of Washington Court House, passed away peacefully Friday, March 22, 2024 at her home.
She was born Oct. 2, 1930 in Akron, the daughter of the late Robert P. and Annie F. (Dull) Estes.
She worked in retail for many years and then was employed by the Derringer Company until her retirement. Lela enjoyed traveling, gardening and bowling and was always a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by three daughters, Georgia Henry of Grove City, Becky Foy of Leesburg and Jo (Bob) Bumen of Washington Court House; two grandchildren, Kristi (Wayne) Carver and Jason (Tracy) Foy, both of Washington Court House; five great-grandchildren, Mckenzi Grooms and Kelsi Grooms, both of Washington Court House, Ashtin Skinner of North Carolina and Logan Foy and Caleb Foy, both of Washington Court House; three great-grandsons, Ka’marion, Jasiah and Kiland; as well as several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Reeves, who passed away Sept. 14, 1985; two sons-in-law, Carl Henry and John Foy; and three brothers, John Estes, Clyde Estes and Walter Estes.
A graveside service for Mrs. Reeves will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Roberts Cemetery, 3685 Edwards Road, Hillsboro. Pastor Rick Garrison will officiate. There will be no public visitation.
