Laura L. “Bonnie” Pollock

Laura L. “Bonnie” Pollock, 83, of New Holland, formerly of Frankfort, passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe.

She was born on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 1941, in Chillicothe, a daughter of the late James and Dorothy Ward Copper.

If you stopped at Bonnie’s house, you knew that you would be there for a while. She always wanted visitors to have a seat at her kitchen table and talk over a cup of coffee, or she’d want company to share a meal with her. Bonnie was always cooking something. She was very wise and intuitive, and if she gave you advice, you’d be wise to listen. If she liked you, you were her friend for life. She was second mother to so many people, and she will be dearly missed.

On March 29, 1959, she married Charles Waits, and they are survived by their two daughters, Theresa “Pam” (Jim Pontious) Waits of Chillicothe and Robin (Mark) Vernon of New Holland; five grandchildren, Heather Blazer, Heath Blazer, Josh Burnheimer, Elizabeth Burnheimer and Kyle Blazer; seven great-grandchildren, Aubrey Fath, Logan Jeffers, Blazer Salyers, Brody Salyers, Laura Burnheimer, Bryce Jeffers and Cy Blazer; two great-great-grandchildren, Kingston Sias and Bow Sias; one sister, Angela (Jeff) Hipp of Ashville; and one brother, Kenneth (Gloria) Copper of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant brother, Frankie Copper, one brother, Charles Copper, and her fur baby, Zoey.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15 in the Ebright Funeral Home in Frankfort, with Phil and Cynthia Collie officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort.

Friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Those wishing to sign Bonnie's online register may do so at www.ebrightfuneralhome.com.
