Larry 'Bill' William Hart
Larry “Bill” William Hart, 75, of Mt. Orab, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at the Hospice of Cincinnati.
He was born Oct. 1, 1948 in Hillsboro, the son of the late Harry William Hart and Mary (Kelley) Hart.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and he earned a Bronze Star for his bravery overseas. He worked at Cincinnati Milacron, and he retired after 34 years. His true passion was buying and selling guns, as he was the owner of Harts Gun Shop. He enjoyed going to gun shows, camping with his family and buying, selling and trading just about anything. He will be greatly missed.
Bill is survived by his wife of 57 years, Donna Hart, whom he married Dec. 3, 1966; two sons, Gary (Andrea) Hart of Mt. Orab and Joe Hart of Mt. Orab; three grandchildren, Jessica Hart, Justin Hart and Troy Hart; a brother, Tim (Donna) Hart of Hillsboro; mother-in-law, Ella Baker of Sugar Tree Ridge; a brother-in-law, Gary (Joyce) Baker of Danville; a sister-in-law, Barbara Turner of Chillicothe, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David Turner and Stephen Hart.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will take place following visitation Wednesday, May 8 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial, with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard, will follow services in the Sugar Tree Ridge Cemetery.
