Laquita Kline, 76, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, July 8, 2024, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. 

She was born March 23, 1948 in Buckskin Township, Ross County, a daughter of the late George and Opal Pollock Palmer. 

Laquita was a member of the South Salem United Methodist Church. She was a wife, mother and a very proud grandma. She had worked as a rural mail carrier with the South Salem Post Office. 

On April 11, 1985, she married James N. Kline.   

She is survived by her husband, Jim; two sons, Brian (Janie) Barton and Chris (Shannon) Barton, all of Greenfield; one stepson, Chris Kline of Greenfield; one stepdaughter, Leah (Patrick) McConkey of Greenfield; grandchildren, Sydney (Ryan) Faulconer, Mathew Barton, Alexis Barton, Reagan Barton and Sierra Barton, Jeff Kline, Austin Kline, Brooke Kline, Arielle Kline, Michael Daugherty, Logan Daugherty, Brailey Daugherty and Harley Kline; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. 

Laquita was preceded in death by one son, William Curtis Barton; two sisters, Laverne Kline and Gloria Wisecup; and one brother, Dean Palmer. 

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the Anderson-Ebright Funeral Home, Greenfield with Pastor Mark Current officiating. Following the service, Laquita will be laid to rest beside her son, Billy, in the South Salem Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 p.m.
