Lamond D. Poole
Lamond D. Poole, 77, of Washington C.H., passed away unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 23, 2024 at Bethesda North Hospital, Cincinnati.
He was born Dec. 26, 1946 in Greenfield, a son of the late Joseph and Pauline Jones Poole.
Lamond had worked at the Collins Packing House in Greenfield. He loved to be outdoors hunting deer, squirrels and rabbits and sitting along the water fishing.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Hazel Poole of Washington C.H.; his four children, Lamond D. Poole II of Freeport, Texas, Tonya Thacker and Jay Poole, both of Chillicothe, and Monica Gunderson of Freeport, Texas; two stepchildren, Tina Brown and James Hakes II of Washington C.H.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Priscilla Jones of Oklahoma and Judy Rhoads of Seaman; two brothers, Shelby and Travis Poole, both of Greenfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Lamond was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Poole; and six brothers, Avadore, Lionel, Roger, Rome, Delbert and Joseph Poole Jr.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024 at 1 p.m. in the Anderson-Ebright Funeral Home, Greenfield with Pastor Roger Newkirk officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in the Greenfield Cemetery. Friends can visit with Lamond's family on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
