Kenneth W. Gabbard, 80, of the Marshall community, died Sept. 3, 2009 at the Adams County Regional Medical Center in Seaman. He was born Jan. 6, 1929, the son of Bruce Gabbard and Dacra (Brookshire) Gabbard. He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn (Nickell) Gabbard, whom he married Jan. 7, 1952; two sons, Eddie Gabbard of California and Kenneth Dean "Gab" Gabbard of the Marshall community; four grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was retired from the General Motors Corporation of Dayton after 32 years of service and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Amvets Post 61 and F.O.E. #1161. He was of the Methodist faith. Services were held Monday, Sept. 7, 2009 at the Marshall United Methodist Church, with the Reverend Zedda Myers and Pastor Larry Maynard officiating. Burial was at the Marshall Cemetery. The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home of Greenfield is serving the family.[[In-content Ad]]
