Junior Lee Hie

Junior Lee Hie, 89 of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2024 at the Adena Greenfield Medical Center. 

He was born June 23, 1935 in Blanchester, the son of the late Ralph and Rosanna Johnson Hie.   

Junior worked on the farm growing up and developed his love of International Harvester and John Deere tractors. He moved to Greenfield and met the love of his life, Grace Lorene Meredith, and she preceded him in death. Junior worked for the U.S. Shoe Factory in Greenfield until it closed.  

Junior is survived by his niece, Denise Meredith, of Englewood; two great-nieces, Jami Hodapp of West Milton and Tara Walker of Greenfield; two great-great-nephews, Nickolas Hodapp of West Milton and Cole Walker of Greenfield; and one great-great-niece, Sydnee Walker, of Greenfield.  

In keeping with Junior’s request, no services will be held. He will be laid to rest beside his wife, Grace, in Greenfield Cemetery. Junior and Grace, his parents and in-laws, are once again together.
