Judith Diane 'Judy' Prickett

Judith Diane “Judy” Prickett, 81, of Washington Court House, passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2024 at Signature Health Care. 

She was born July 21, 1943 in Rainsboro, the daughter of the late Ed and Bernice (Lucas) Hamilton. 

Judy was a member of the Anchor Baptist Church and was a caregiver for many years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. 

Judy is survived by her husband of 44 years, Douglas W. “Doug” Prickett; three children, Kim McLaughlin of Hillsboro, Kellie (Dana) Taylor of Wilmington and Todd (Chris) Gleadle of Bellville, Ill.; 11 grandchildren, Ronnie (Jessica) McLaughlin, Megan (Gabe) Adams, Anthony (Shelby) Wood, Erin (A.J.) Morath, Mindy (Mark) Evans, Bethany (Brian) Rogers, Kristin Gleadle, Heather (Stephen) Dodsworth, Tyler Gleadle and Makenzie Gleadle; 10 great-grandchildren, Jade, Sergio, Alexis, Haley, Isbella, Emma, Joey, Molly, Tucker and Dalton; two great-great-grandchildren, Kyson and Skylar; a sister, Sheryl (Shannon) Armstrong; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Gleadle; a son-in-law, Ron McLaughlin; a grandson, Timothy McLaughlin; and a sister, Connie Wilson.

Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 27, 2024 from 11 a.m. until noon at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro, when a funeral service will begin. Pastor Jeremy Griffith will officiate. Burial will follow in the Roads Cemetery.
