Joseph Wayne Cannon

Joseph Wayne Cannon, 67, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023 at the home of his daughter.  
 
He was born Aug. 21, 1955 in Greenfield, the son of Donald and Anna (Daugherty) Cannon.
 
Joe was a 1974 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of VFW Post 4736, F.O.E. #1325 and American Legion Post 14.
 
He was formerly employed at RR Donnelly of Greenfield, Bundy Tubing of Washington C.H. and Hobart of Hillsboro.
 
He is survived by one son, Brandon Allen Michael Cannon; one daughter, Brooke Alexander (Rick Warren) of Greenfield; six grandchildren, Brayla, Braxton, Kira, Miranda, Peyton and Ava; two brothers, Charles (Debbie) Cannon of Greenfield and Roger (Tammy) Cannon of Cincinnati; two sisters, Diane Ary of Greenfield and Phyllis Buckner of Greenfield; and several nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by one brother, Dale Cannon; one sister, Marylin Taylor; and both parents.
 
Funeral service will be Monday, April 24 at 1 p.m. at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield, beginning with the veterans appreciation service, then Pastor Danny Dodds to officiate. Burial will follow at Greenfield Cemetery with military rites provided by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield.
 
Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
