Jonathan Hogsett

Jonathan Hogsett, 51, passed away Jan. 10, 2025. 

He was born in Wilmington. Jonathan lived a vibrant life filled with love for his family and friends, and a deep passion for fast cars and drag racing. 

He is the son of Tom Hogsett of Hillsboro and Mary Clements of Hillsboro. Besides his parents, Jonathan is survived by his devoted wife, Kelli Gibson; children, April Stephens of Las Vegas, Ashleigh(Jon) Ballein of New Vienna, Amanda (Sebastian) Evans of Las Vegas, Justin Hogsett of Blanchester and Hunter Gibson of Las Vegas; siblings, Linda (Daryl) Roberts of New Vienna and Wayne Hogsett of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Avalynn, Haiden, Marilyn and Bentlee of Las Vegas, and Lailah and Brayden of New Vienna;, nieces and nephews, Jacob (Ashley) Roberts of Hillsboro and Reva (James) Allen of Lynchburg; special grandmother, Patrica Newman; and a special friend, Kim Burris.

Jon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Genevieve Hilton and Tom and Ruth Hogsett.

Jon's family and friends recognize the joy he brought into their lives and the lives of many. While his physical presence will be greatly missed, his spirit will forever rev in the hearts of those who loved him.

Services will be noon Saturday, Feb. 1 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the New Market Baptist Cemetery.

Friends may call from 11 a.m.-noon Saturday at the funeral home.
