John William “Willy” Scharenberg

John William “Willy” Scharenberg, 61, of Bainbridge, passed away Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.
 
He was born Dec. 27, 1962 in Chillicothe, the son of Charles Raymond and Doris Kathleen (Osterloh) Scharenberg.
 
He was a member of the F.O.E. 1325, a former employee at Johnson Controls of Greenfield for nearly 30 years and former employee of Collins Meat Packing.
 
He is survived by his daughter, Kourtney Scharenberg of Washington C.H.; one granddaughter, Bailey Amyx; mother, Doris Scharenberg of Greenfield; two sisters, Debbie (Sam) Campbell of Greenfield and Chris (Steve) Yates of Frankfort; two brothers, Chuck (Susie) Scharenberg of Greenfield and David (Rita) Scharenberg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by one infant nephew, Noah Campbell; one great-niece, Madison Gray; and his father, Charles “Chuck” Scharenberg.
 
Funeral service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Marcus Hamlin officiating. Cremation will follow.
 
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
 
Memorial contributions may be made to assist the family with expenses at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home, 380 Jefferson St., Greenfield, Ohio 45123.
