John Raymond "Buddy" Lawson, 71, of Hillsboro, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009 at the Highland District Hospital. He was born in May Hill on Dec. 1, 1937, the son of the late John F. and Opal Lucille (Caplinger) Lawson. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy, Irene and Ermaline. He is survived by one son, Johnny Ray Lawson of Willettsville; a stepson, Manuel Cole of Hillsboro; a stepdaughter, Tina Marie Musser of Hillsboro; a special friend, Rodney Lyons of Hillsboro; special aunt and uncle, Margie and Harold Caplinger of Hillsboro; an aunt, Marie Gustin of Chillicothe and six grandchildren No service or visitation will be held at this time. Per his wishes, he was cremated. He will be buried in the May Hill Cemetery. Memorials maybe made to Hospice of Hope, 215 Hughes Boulevard, Mt. Orab, Ohio 45154.
