John L. "Larry" Hedges
John L. "Larry" Hedges, a devoted Air Force veteran born on April 1, 1936, in Hillsboro, peacefully passed away on June 7, 2024.
An avid admirer of classic cars, Larry particularly adored his 2002 Thunderbird and held a pilot's license close to his heart. A man of integrity and dedication, Larry's life was shaped by his service in the Air Force, his love for his family and his passion for aviation and vintage automobiles. His presence will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his legacy of love, loyalty and passion serve as a beacon of inspiration for all who mourn his loss.
He will be deeply missed by his cherished son, Jason Hedges, of Loveland. Fondly remembered as "Larry" by those who knew him, he found great joy in the company of his beloved wife, Barbara Hedges; and cherished his time spent with his grandsons, Mitchell and Owen Hedges. Larry is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Amie (JR) Gallaugher, Jocelyn (Rob) Goubeaux, Brad (Barb) Hedges and JP (Michel) Hedges; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Ursula Hedges; his wife, Barbara Hedges, whom he married on Sept. 2, 1961; a daughter-in-law, Renee Hedges; and brothers, Phil and Dave Hedges.
