John F. Burke, 94, of Sardinia, passed away Friday, Oct. 11, 2024 at Clermont Mercy Hospital with his family by his side.

John was the son of the late Charles R. Burke and Mary (Benner) Burke.

Surviving are a son, Mark (Jayne) Burke of Sardinia; grandchildren, John (Rachel) Burke of Sardinia, Pete (Teri) Landrum of Dayton, Mark (Kelly) Burke of Bucyrus, Kenny (Jodi) Burke, Nathan (Stacia) Burke of Hillsboro, Holly Burke and Julie Burke of Hillsboro; two sisters, Mary Lou Morris of Nevada and Judy Clinton of Sardinia; 11 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mae Burke; a son, John Burke; and a daughter, Pat (Burke) Landrum.

Services will be held at Edgington Funeral Home, Mowrystown, on Oct. 15 at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in the Buford Cemetery in Buford.

Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15 at the funeral home.
