John Edward Oyer

John Edward Oyer, 74, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, Dec. 24, 2023 at home.
 
He was born June 11, 1949 in Highland County, the son of William and Belle (Follis) Oyer.
 
John served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the VFW Post 4736.
 
He retired from Waddell’s of Greenfield after 26 years of employment.
 
He is survived by one sister, Florence L. Green of Greenfield; and numerous nieces and nephews, including special niece, Nola Belle Oyer of Greenfield.
 
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Oyer and Mary Oyer; two brothers, William Oyer and Paul Oyer; and both parents.
 
Funeral service will be Saturday, Dec. 30 at 1 p.m. at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Rev. Wayne Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery with military rites provided by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield.
 
Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
