John David Countryman

John David Countryman, 74, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at home.

He was born July 29, 1950, in Ross County, the son of Fay Leslie and Lillian Alice (Morris) Countryman.

John was a 1968 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School. He was a talented wood worker, enjoyed genealogy, and was a former youth baseball coach.  

He was retired from RR Donnely and was a former employee of Craftsman Printing in Chillicothe and Greenfield Printing.

He is survived by his wife, Anna (Keaton) Countryman whom he married on Feb. 7, 1986; one son, Shawn (Bridgette) Countryman of Greenfield; one daughter, Lisa (Cody) Cooper of Greenfield; one stepson, Chad (Beatrice) Crusie of Greenfield; one stepdaughter, Amy (Neal) Jacob of Sabina; seven grandchildren, Camron Cooper, Caleb Cooper (Jenna Perie), Dylan Crusie (Courtney Mick), Mason (Emilee) Rayburn, Alex Boles, Tanner Countryman, Crosby Countryman; one great-granddaughter, Emma Marie Crusie; three sisters, Susan Wilson of Greenfield, Grace Miller of Greenfield, Carol Horsley of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.                     

He was preceded in death by one stillborn granddaughter, Riley Countryman; three brothers, Eddie Chapman, Bob Chapman and Denny Chapman; and both parents.

There will not be a service observed.

The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield is serving the family.
