Jennifer Lynn Bogard

Jennifer Lynn Bogard, 48, of Hillsboro, passed away March 1, 2024 at UC Medical Center, surrounded by her devoted children and family. 

She was born Feb. 7, 1976 in Hillsboro.

Jennifer was an adventurer. She liked to go on trips to new places, exploring hills, streams and beaches. She deeply loved her children. She also loved all animals, especially her dog, Gizmo Chewbacca Bogard, babies, her nephews and any “little ones.” Jennifer enjoyed being outside, visiting friends and family, flowers, butterflies and lavender. 

Jennifer is survived by her children, Abigayle “Abby” Mae Bogard and Marcus Robert Alexander Bogard; her father, Ronald Bogard; siblings, Julie (Kenny) Karnes and Tim (Kristin) Bogard; nephews, Kevin Karnes, Ian Karnes, Isaac Bogard and Eli Bogard; special friends, Jennifer Cochrane and Brandon Wildermuth; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. 

She sorely missed her mother, Sharon Shaw Bogard, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Floyd and Stacil Harris Bogard and Robert and Mary Davis Shaw. 

Memorial service arrangements for Jennifer will be held at Good News Gathering. The family will receive visitors Sunday, March 10, 2024, starting at 3 p.m., with services planned for 4 p.m. Private graveside services will follow at Springtown Cemetery. JD Lyle will officiate. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jennifer’s children at the time of service or to Highland County Society for Children & Adults.

I used to be a babysitter for Abby and Marcus and i had been with then for few months there in greenfield and Jennifer was a Sweet person. After i get done baby sitting on some days and she would get home early to be with the kids i would stay and we would talk about everything you could think of. She will be missed. RIP.
