Jeannette E. Knauff

Jeannette E. Knauff, 96 of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026 at Hillsboro Post Acute.  

She was born April 3, 1930 in Highland County, the daughter of the late Lloyd Allen and Eva M. (Rhoads) Fenner.

Jeannette was as member of the Mt. Olive Church of Christ, the Highland County Senior Citizens, and was an award-winning quilter. She was also an avid gardener and baker. She loved her family and will be greatly missed.  

She is survived by three special nieces, Nancy Fenner, JoAnn Sexton and Linda Gorman, all of Hillsboro; as well as many additional loving nieces and nephews.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Wayne “Red” Knauff, who passed away on Sept. 21, 2005; and eight siblings, Carmen, Bud, Jane, Mary, Betty, Ray, Hugh and Fred.  

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. The funeral service will begin immediately after visitation at 1 p.m. Kenneth Zugg will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Market Baptist Cemetery.  

Memorial contributions may be made to the Highland County Senior Citizens, 185 Muntz Street, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133, or the Hospice of Hope, 215 Hughes Blvd., Mt. Orab, Ohio 45154.
