Jean Turner

Jean Turner, 88, of Peebles, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024.

Jean was born Dec. 10, 1935 in Highland County, the daughter of the late Floyd and Effie (Case) Turner.

Jean was a member of the Elmville Church of Christ in Christian Union. She spent her life as a caretaker, whether she cleaned your house or cared for a family member. Jean was devoted to her family, who loved her dearly.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Gary Bennington of Peebles; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Joyce Turner of Hillsboro; six grandchildren, Lindsey Bennington, Gary Paul (Anna) Bennington, Amanda Turner, Timothy (Sarah) Turner, Jamie (Jessica) Turner and Augustus Michael; seven great-grandchildren, Timothy, Dakota, Landon, Matthew, Braylon and James Turner and Jaxson Cassner; two sisters, Mary Barker of Peebles and Ruth Williams of Hillsboro; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeff Turner; three brothers, Charles, Paul and Dick Turner; and one sister, Dororthy Myers.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 11, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, 119 Rarden Road, Peebles 45660. Pastor Gary Cooper will officiate, with burial to follow in the Cedar Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday, Nov. 11, 2024 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
