Jean Apking

Jean Apking, 90, of the Sinking Spring community, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024.

Jean was born Oct. 12, 1933 in Cincinnati, the daughter of the late Ernest and Faye (Sharp) Cain.

Jean retired from GE Aircraft Engines, enjoyed being a homemaker and was a member of the Sinking Spring Community Church.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Johnny) Riley of Ashland, Ky.; grandchildren, Dan (Erica) Wortman and Kerry (Nate) Allen; great-grandchildren, Ava, Hudson and Raegan Wortman, Amelia Oliver and Evelyn Allen; sister, Janet (Jerry) Koehne of West Chester; niece; nephews; several cousins; and a host of friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Raymond Apking; and son, William Daniel “Bill” Apking.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the Sinking Spring Community Church. Burial will follow at the Cedar Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may call Saturday June 22, 2024 from 1 p.m. until time of services at the church.
