Janet Davis Smalley

Janet Davis Smalley, 86, of Leesburg, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.  

She was born Nov. 1, 1937 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Loren and Ruby (Moon) Davis.  

Mrs. Smalley was a member of the Leesburg Church of Christ and retired from a long career involving education, most recently as an Area Coordinator for the State of Ohio Department of Education. Along with her husband, she also operated the family farm for many years as well.  

Janet is survived by two children, Steve (Michelle) Smalley and Deanne (Arthur) Link; four grandchildren, Taylor (Patti) Smalley, Drew Smalley, Heath (Rachael) Link and Caleb Link; and three great-grandchildren, Baylee Link, Madison Link and Brooks Smalley. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Allen Smalley, who passed away July 23, 2017; and three siblings, Don Davis, Treva Fisher and Harriett Shidaker.  

A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., when a funeral service will begin, at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Kevin Stuckey will officiate. Burial will follow in the High Top Cemetery in Samantha.
