James William Wagner

James William Wagner, 69, of Greenfield, passed away Friday, Dec. 8, 2023 at home.  
 
He was born Oct. 19, 1954 in Fayette County, the son of Homer Edson and Margaret Jane (Shadley) Wagner.
 
He was an avid fisherman, mushroom hunter and outdoorsman and enjoyed working on cars.
 
He was survived by one daughter, Rebecca Setty of Latham; two sons, James Groves (Makayla McDaniel) of Greenfield and Michael Wagner of Washington C.H.; seven grandchildren, Katie, Khloe, Brantlee, Breawna, Maliki, Rachel and Gracie; two sisters, Anna Lee Davis of Pennsylvania and Linda Sue Holden of Washington C.H.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
 
He was preceded in death by his son, Bradley Wagner; two sisters, Marjorie Simonson and Edna Nunley; one brother, Edson Wagner; and both parents.
 
Cremation will take place, and a memorial service will be at a later date.
 
Memorial contributions may be made to assist the family with expenses at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield.
