James Wesley 'Wes' Hart Jr.

James Wesley “Wes” Hart Jr., 66, of Hillsboro, passed away unexpectedly Sept. 14, 2024.

He was born Sept. 2, 1958 in Washington Court House, the son of the late James W. Hart Sr. and Charlotte Ann Smith Hart.

Wes loved fishing and all things outdoor. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and worked for many years for Ford Brothers Excavating.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryle Truman Hart; sons, Jeffrey Michael (Ashley) Hart of Morrow, Jonathan Byron (Ashley) Hart of Hillsboro, Chad William (Bethany) Hart of Lynchburg and Matthew James Thomas (Danielle) Hart of Georgetown; 13 grandchildren; and two brothers, Joel Dean Hart of Belfast and Kerry Stanley (Lou Ann) Hart of Pittsburgh.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Smith.

In keeping with his wishes, Wes will be cremated.
