James W. Fultz Jr.
James W. Fultz Jr., 77, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in Columbus.
He was born Oct. 28, 1946 in Greenfield, the son of James Wayne and Lila Lee (Van Pelt) Fultz.
James served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. He was a member of VFW Post 4736, the Dragin Angels Car Club and the Old Geezers Club at McDonalds.
He was retired from Candle-lite of Leesburg and previously drove for Basic Concrete of Washington C.H. for 26 years. He also drove for a concrete company in California for another 11 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mickey (Carle) Fultz whom he married Nov. 25, 2005; two sons, James Wayne Fultz III and Brian Carle; one stepson, Wade Shoemaker; two granddaughters, Samantha and Amanda; three step-grandchildren; and two brothers, Robert J. Fultz and Max S. Fultz.
He was preceded in death by one nephew, Chris Fultz; and both parents and parents-in-law.
Funeral service will be Monday, July 1 at 2 p.m. at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield, beginning with a veterans appreciation service then Pastor Danny Dodds to officiate. Burial will follow at Greenfield Cemetery with military rites provided by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield.
Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist the family with expenses at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home.
