James Allen "Jim" Fridley, 60, of Hillsboro, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010 at Kindred Health Care in Dayton.
He was born Aug. 27, 1949 in Fayette County, Ohio, the son of the late Donald and Bertha Irene (Chandler) Fridley. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Woodrow and Leslie "Bud" Fridley.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Howard) Fridley; two daughters, Gaylena Wolfe of Oklahoma and Amy Fridley of Hillsboro; three sisters, Priscilla Miller of Columbus, Marcella Fridley of St. Mary's, and Faith Watkins of St. Mary's; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Fridley was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during the Vietnam War.
Services will be held at the Hillsboro House of Worship, located at 8395 U.S 62 in Hillsboro, at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010 with Pastor Randy Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery with military rites presented by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010 at the Hillsboro House of Worship. Thompson Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Thompson Funeral Home at 241 South Main Street in Hillsboro.
