Jack E. Pitzer, 62 of Lynchburg, died Friday, September 4, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Clinton County, on Aug. 13, 1947, the son of the late George and Virginia (Moberly) Pitzer. He was a 25 year member of the Hillsboro Fraternal Order of Eagles #1161. Jack retired from BP Oil Co. in Hillsboro after 25 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Connie Collins of Lynchburg; five sons, Jack E. Pitzer Jr. of Hillsboro, Benny Pitzer of Hillsboro, Jeff Collins of Hillsboro, James Collins of Hillsboro, and Stanley Crabtree of Hillsboro; two daughters, Tanga Pitzer of Hillsboro, Lora Bachman of Hillsboro; five brothers, Bob Pitzer of Xenia, Bill Pitzer of Wilmington, Tom Pitzer of Lynchburg, Gary Pitzer of Mt. Orab, Wayne Pitzer of Lynchburg; one sister, Linda Hiles of Texas, 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Eagle services were Sept. 8, with funeral services immediately following at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Daryl Mount officiated with burial following in the Harwood Cemetery.
